Westville Education is pleased to announce season two (running from September 2017 – July 2018) in its series of CPD sessions offering specialist topics, discussion, case histories and opportunities to share and develop your knowledge.
The first in this next series will be on Sunday September 17th and again held at the popular venue at Somerford Park Farm, nr Congleton, Cheshire
Topics will include:
‘Three Legs and a Spare’ – identifying and managing the problems of the canine amputee.
‘Bionic Animals’ – The use of orthoses and prostheses for injured animals is becoming increasingly common. This session will look at the underpinning science behind prosthetics, osseoperception and osseointegration, from dogs and horses to pigs and elephants.
‘The Role of Exercise Prescription in Animal Rehabilitation’ This session looks particularly at its importance in equine rehabilitation.
‘Case History Discussion’ – group discussion to compare ideas for management.
‘A Guide to Personal Development Planning and CPD Records’ – Most professional bodies expect their members to demonstrate evidence of CPD to ensure members regularly refresh and update their knowledge and skills. This session aims to highlight the role of PDP’s and Reflection underpinning CPD records.
Cost £100. Discounted to £90 for members of professional bodies such as IRVAP, ASSVAP and ACPAT. Students £65.

Westville Therapy Systems have launched a new externally powered multi-output unit for use in clinics.
This new innovation provides four independently programmable outputs to allow different modalities to be used at the same time.
Programming is via a touch screen panel that shows the status of each individual output and can be altered whilst other channels are in action.
